Laurie Andrews
As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I am passionate about providing care that is both clinically effective and deeply human. My work is rooted in an evidence-based approach, which means I rely on proven treatments, research, and best practices to guide care. At the same time, I bring warmth, compassion, and genuine curiosity to each interaction, because I believe healing begins when people feel safe, respected, and truly understood.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with individuals facing a wide range of challenges—whether navigating anxiety or depression, adjusting to life transitions, managing the complexities of trauma, or building skills for healthier relationships. No matter the circumstances, my priority is to create a collaborative and supportive environment where clients feel empowered to take an active role in their healing journey.
I believe mental health care should never be a privilege reserved for a few. It is a fundamental part of well-being and should be accessible to everyone. Each person deserves the opportunity to live the fullest and best version of their life, and I see my role as helping to clear a path toward that possibility.
In my practice, treatment is always individualized—there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to mental health. Together, we explore options that may include therapy, medication management, lifestyle support, and other tools that align with a person’s goals and values. My aim is not only to address symptoms but to help clients build lasting resilience, self-awareness, and confidence.
At the heart of my philosophy is a belief in empowerment through partnership. I do not see myself as the “expert” who has all the answers, but rather as a guide walking alongside my clients. Together, we uncover strengths, explore challenges, and create meaningful steps toward change.
Above all, I want the people I work with to leave each session feeling seen, supported, and more capable of moving forward with clarity and hope.
